The benefits of bundling film

Written by Aimee Johnston | 16/07/18

Bundling film is like a mini stretchwrap system which strongly binds your products together without sticking to them. But why is this so useful, and which applications does it suit best?

When you're looking to protect warehouse items, or goods being transported, plastic packaging is a great solution. Not only does the extra layer provide protection against dust, water and slight scratches, but it also holds the goods together and reduces the chance of theft while improving ease and efficiency of handling.

Plastic film comes in a wide range of sizes and is most commonly called pallet wrap, bundling film or stretchwrap, and is used for wrapping pallets, boxes or products.

Many stretchwraps are able to be stretched up to 500% their original size before they break. This helps to hold your products together tightly, keeping them secure during transit and storage.

Bundling film is a miniaturised, hand-held stretchwrap which makes it really easy to quickly wrap multiple items together or protect an individual shipment. It's even good for items that are of an unusual shape that may require a more manual application of protective film.

Because stretchwrap clings to the object through its attempts to return to its original size and therefore creates tension, there are no adhesives used. This is perfect for objects that would not benefit from coming into contact with the tacky residue of tape.
